MTI, in conjunction with Drilltec, the world leader in tubular goods protection, now offers a new generation of thread protectors for Raise Drill Pipe.
The TJPTM Series features PROCADDTM,a revolutionary composite resin that provides superior protection during handling and transportation. The PROCADD TM technology utilizes a non-metallic composite material that offers superior protection to tool joint threads that are sensitive to vi-metal corrosion. The closed end design prevents hook damage and ingress of debris to either pin or box. CNC machined threads offer complete engagement to prevent the protectors from stripping or vibrating loose, while grease pockets keep moisture and debris from entering the thread in seal areas.
The TJPTM lightweight design reduces overall freight costs, while its high impact resistance exceeds all API and IADC/SPE performance standards.
