MTI Drill String Components
MTI offers a full range of ITH Drill String rods and associated tooling:
A) Thread Connections: MTI offers a complete line of LT-Series (Low Torque) Connections. In addition to all No. 21, 24 and 28 connections, API, Beco and Mission connections are also available.
B) ITH Drill Rods: MTI drill rods range from 2.75” O.D. x 72” shoulder-to-shoulder to 6.5” O.D. x 60” - 72” shoulder-to-shoulder and all sizes in between. We offer .186”, .250”, or .362” wall thickness,
however MTI will manufacture to customer specifications.
C) ITH Stabilizers: ITH Stabilizers are manufactured to standard or custom sizes by MTI. Our stabilizers are fitted with hard banded pads which are manufactured with carbide mesh hard facing. MTI stabilizers are inspected for size and angular alignment of connection shoulders. The longer wear pads and tight tolerances ensure longer life and excellent stabilization. Also available are a full range of Non-Rotating Stabilizers. Additional sizes and thread types available upon request.
D) BIT Breakout Baskets: MTI provides a complete line of bit baskets for Halco, IR, Secoroc, and Digger bits ranging in sizes from 4.5” to 8.5” in diameter. Other styles and sizes are available on request.
E) Breakout Wrenches: MTI will custom manufacture wrenching for all ITH and surface blast hole drills.
F) Recovery Tools: Recovery taps, spears and overshots (3.5” to 6.5” dia. drill steel) manufactured from alloy steels.
G) Specialty Tools: MTI will custom manufacture top subs for most makes and models of hammers.
Wrenching: Manufactured to customer specifications to fit all ITH drills.
Inspection Wear Gauges: Go No Go Gauges for pipe diameter and wrench openings for all sizes of Rods, and Bit Wear Gauge Sets (4.5” dia. to 8.5” dia. bits). MTI also manufactures thread profile gauges for all connections.
Non-Rotating Stabilizers: Available for 4.5” to 29.5” dia. holes manufactured with all ITH connections currently used in the mining sector.
