Job Summary:

The Service Manager is responsible for the management and coordination of all aspects of the service department. This individual will act as a liaison between the service reps, account managers, product managers, engineering and customers. He/she will maintain the daily planning and deployment of service personnel. He/she will also assume a leadership role for service personnel in providing them with strong in-house support. This individual will provide technical expertise and support to internal and external customers in terms of troubleshooting and commissioning questions. He/she will ensure the efficient operation of the Service Group, all-the-while seeking to grow the service department. Most importantly, this individual will demonstrate and instill a sense of urgency within the Service Department in addressing customer inquiries and concerns. The Service Manager will truly deliver on MTI's core value that the CUSTOMER is the reason for our existence.

SKILLS and REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must believe in, instill and live by the basic principle that Customer service is not just a department, it's an attitude!
  • Must be able to constantly deliver superior leadership to direct and motivate personnel.
  • Must demonstrate proven past performance as a successful Service Manager.
  • Extensive experience and technical knowledge acquired through previous past performance as a licensed heavy equipment Service Technician required.
  • Must have excellent inter-personnel and communication skills to deal with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
  • Must be highly organized and possess the ability to adjust swiftly to changing priorities and react to constant changes in customer demands.
  • Previous management training and experience required.
  • Travel will be necessary from time to time. Passport required for International travel
  • Must possess valid driver's license.
  • Must be computer literate in Excel, Word, Power Point, CAD and asset.
